Cat Sweater
Yes, another cat sweater.
I had someone recently ask me "If you were rich, would you still dress like you do?" The answer is more complex than a straight yes or no. I would still be me for sure: polka dots, peter pan collars, bright colors, bows, vintage, and yes, I would definitely still wear cat sweaters. But if money wasn't an object, I sure as heck would buy designer pieces. How spectacular are these Miu Miu shoes? And that pencil skirt, I mean really... Lest we not forget to mention the coveted Burberry handbag, absolutely divine.
How about you guys, do you think if you had limitless money that you would delve into designer duds, or would you stay closer to your current clothing options?

Bags with Bows
There are so many bags with bows on the market right now, no matter what your price point, no matter what your style, you are bound to find one you like. Personally, I am so diverse stylistically that I happened across nine that I love. Well... honestly I came across probably 20, maybe more, but whittled it down to my top nine. Tough, Sweet, Sophisticated, Evening, Work, which bag would you get the most use out of?

she could be a pharmer in those braids
Aren't these braids to die for!? It's not often I'm jealous of long haired ladies, but this! This is envy inducing. Not only are her braids fab, so is she. I highly encourage you to check out the ever lovely Hannah's blog she could be a pharmer in those clothes. She's kinda, just a little, super duper awesome.

Dress for Autumn
This crisp autumn morning, I found myself absolutely unable to get out of bed. The chilly morning air blowing through my windows had me all snuggled up under my blankets. It didn't help much that Audrey Super Kitty was curled up on my chest, she's quite the cuddle muffin. I dozed in and out of some sweet light dreams of my favorite season and my favorite designers. Happy Autumn Dearhearts!

Candy Colored Hair
I get a lot of questions about my hair. I've often thought I should sit down and take some time to log exactly what I go through to get my hair these colors and to maintain them. Well I've not actually ever taken the time to do so, but fear not inquiring minds! The ever lovely Gala Darling has! While she doesn't cover the full gamut of bleaching, dying and maintenance (it's a LOT to cover), she does cover quite a bit. So here for you my loves a little linkiepoo to Gala's post on XO Jane:

Black Booties
I am fascinated with fashion's continued expedition into the world of badass chicks. As someone who wore combat boots, platform boots, and creepers and cut up my clothes to reconstruct them with spikes studs and safety pins for a good portion of my life, I sometimes feel as though I am in some parallel universe. Stud covered booties at Nordstrom? Bondage strap boots at Bloomingdale's? Sooooo surreal. But hey, the more the merrier says the mature adult me (the not so mature me says "Get off my lawn you lame-ass posers! I had to order those from the UK when I was your age. Ah, kids these days...")
Bondage straps, buckles, chains and spikes. Here are some of my favorites right now:
My Fave:
I love that these have a thick chain underneath the arch. It's completely tough, but also subtle enough to make these black booties completely versatile. Goth all grown up shall we say.

Old Navy Rockstar Jeans
I love a good colored skinny jean (read more about my love affair HERE). Lucky for me the colored jean trend is still rockin' and my friends at Old Navy are pumping out the seasonal colors in their Rockstar Jean. I recently bought some of the nice new hues for fall which unfortunately were just too short for my long legs (sadly not all the colors are available in tall), but to anyone of average height, I highly recommend them. Affordable price point, wide color selection (I love the Purple Sage and Heliotrope in particular), and totally comfortable. Comfort is relative I suppose, I love mine tight (!!!) but if you don't, definitely swing by one of their shops to try some or order a few different sizes online. I've heard from other bloggers they've sized up one or two for a more comfy fit.
Also, in case you missed it, check out Kat of Ginger Adorned's DIY Polka Dot Jean tutorial using the Old Navy Rockstar Jeans.

Cat Sweater
This is dedicated to all the crazy cat ladies out there. I won't call you out... Just kidding, I'm totally calling you out: @_michsi_ @glam__slam @kristennichols @tulleandboots @glennavonhenna
I am kind of freaking out over the Pick Up the Cent bank, the Cat Ears Ring, and (obviously!) the Charlotte Olympia Kitty Embroidery Loafers. If you can't afford the hef-hef-hefty price tag on Charlotte's loafers, the black pair is a knock off for 1/25th the price. That's quite the discount! I can't speak on their quality, but it looks as though all the reviews are positive.
Are you a #crazycatlady? Follow me on instagram! Let's be crazy cat lady bff's!

Polka Dot Jeans
photo via Ginger Adorned |
Whilst in New York I had the pleasure of meeting Kat of Ginger Adorned. She's a doll (and a ginger, bonus points!), I'm so pleased our paths have crossed. She has a marvelously easy DIY for polka dot jeans over on her blog, I just had to share. Thanks Kat!

Polka Dot Blouses
Sometimes it takes packing a suitcase to realize you are obsessed. While at NYFW, I was hanging up my selected wardrobe for the week and low and behold, every single day I was wearing polka dots. Hand meet forehead. At least I wasn't the only one, between all the events I attended, I saw oodles and oodles of dotted ladies and gents. See? I'm not obsessed, I'm just on trend...
Here are six polka dot picks. Truthfully the Burberry Prorsum is my favorite, but I can't afford it so it gets shuffled into the "a girl can dream" category. Lucky for me, the darling navy J.Crew style is totally within reach! Polka dot crisis averted.

Sinful Colors Easy Going
Easy Going by Sinful Colors is completely outside the lines of my typical nail color. It is such a very pale pink, it's virtually white. I can't recall why I purchased this color, I've had it so long! Today as I was sifting through my bin of varnish it seemed to softly sigh as I passed it up yet again for a vampy rich dark hue. Am I the only person that feels guilty for not using a nail color? Probably. Regardless, down went the dark burgundy and on went Easy Going. I couldn't let Easy Going stand alone, I decided it needed a friend to keep it company. Gap recently caught me off guard by having nail color at the counter, hello impulse purchase. This sheer color dubbed Pearl is just that, a nice peachy, mother of pearl-ish hue that is perfect for top coating other colors.

Foxy Lady
I think most people assume The Jimi Hendrix Experience song Foxy Lady is about some Bambi-eyed, Bardot-haired, psychedelic mini dress type, but really who's to say? There is no description of the women in question except that she looks "good", maybe that meant a classy, quirky collegiate. Well, probably not, but let's just go with it for the sake of this ridiculously adorable fox sweater.

New York, New York!
Mission Get My Blogging Mojo Back has commenced! A few hours on a train and voila! New York City bustles and shimmers in the misty rain of the evening. Horns are honking, sirens shrieking, and engines revving at the corners of 8th Ave and W 34th. It's my home away from home and I'm glad to be back.
