who's a morning person? and the almighty re-direct

So, I'm NOT a morning person. I want to be. Really. Morning people seem so... HAPPY!!! For us non-morning people we might even say "obnoxiously happy" I'm doing all sorts of self evaluation and was wondering, have any of you made the transition from non-morning to chipper chirpie morning birds? Any tips? Tips on falling asleep, waking up, being calm, being happy? All thoughts appreciated!
