If I had the money, this is what I would wear on NYE! I love how utterly elegant the dress and with the right accessories, oh so macabre.

Speakeasy Struggle!
Lilpnut is going to a speakeasy themed New Years Eve Party (sooooo jealous btw, how do I get an invite!?) and asked for some accessory assistance. She bought this super cute flapper-esque mini dress from Forever21. Being that the party is tomorrow, all my finds are from Forever21 and Macys so she can swing by and pick them up ASAP! A quick note about theme partys: I have found unless you are going to a theatre costume shop with professional costumes, or you have done extensive research on specific era clothing and accessories, it's generally best to do a modern twist on whatever the theme may be. If not, you can end up looking cheap and cheap is never a good look!
Forever21
1. Black Feathered Headband 2. Long Spherical Bead Necklaces in Gold/Cream Black/Dark Grey & Black/Cream 3. Antique Rhinestone Ring in Dark Grey 4. Suedette Open Toe Heels in Black 5. Metallic Pattern Handbag
Macy's
1. Givenchy Bracelet 2. Givenchy Necklace 3. Givenchy Ring 4. Aerosoles Pumps in Black Suede 5. Jessica McClintock Clutch
Hope this helps Pnut!

sleep, you are ever elusive.
Last night I was extra productive in my sleeplessness and wrapped all the gifts that have been laying around my closet. Today I came across this funny journal at Modcloth and wonder if it would actually help me doze off to dreamland...

ho, ho, ho-verwhelmed.
Hiya Lovelies!
I have a confession. I've got the pre christmas blues. It's the time of year when I just get so overwhelmed all I wanna do is shut down and hide under the covers (funny story side note, one time in our old apartment a tiny one bedroom efficiency, I actually did hide under the blankets and my husband couldn't find me). It's a tough time of year, because I want to do everything myself. I want to buy all the gifts, wrap all the gifts, ship all the gifts, plan all the parties, style all my friends, style and take care of myself (I am desperate for a haircut, but who's got the time!), shop and plan for dad and husbands birthdays on the 27th and the 29th, have I mentioned I'm also planning a baby shower for the new year? Ugh. I mean not ugh for the baby shower, just ugh in general. I love doing all these things, but when you work in a retail environment and have a daily blog to manage, it's just gets plain exhausting. And also on the retail note, frustrating because I keep receiving invites to holiday dinner parties and open houses that I inevitably have to respond, "sorry, we have extended our hours at the shop and I'm working until 8pm." I know, I know, woe is me!
Aaaaaaanyway, this is just my apology to my lovely readers for dropping the ball on my daily posts. I had to take my husbands advice on this one, he's always telling me "it's your blog, you make the rules." So, my posts might be a little irregular and maybe a tad off topic until the holidays have wrapped. Please feel free to continue sending me your fashion dilemmas, I'm happy to help. Busy, yes for sure, but never too busy to help someone in a styling crisis!!!

rain rain go away
Ugh, rain. It's been gray and gross since I got back from Florida. Here's a nice cheery vintage dress to brighten things up a bit.
